Shiraz Quay Landing. Juicy wine with a slightly spicy tone; that is what Shiraz is so famous for. Smooth glass of wine with a beautiful soft character. Made according to traditional winemaking (picking, pressing, alcoholic fermentation, maturation). Made from 100% Shiraz .
Story behind the label: In the logo, Quay Landing winery uses a kangaroo , which is a global symbol for Australia. The label will change soon, this has already been implemented for the Chardonnay, for the Shiraz this will coincide with the new vintage 2016.
Red wine - Ripe, spicy and intense. Ripe black and red fruit aromas. Very spicy with a ripe and round mid-palate. Melted tannins, fine finish with a supporting acidity.
Our sommeliers advise: Good to combine with slow-cooked meat and stews with cooked vegetables, spicy spareribs and BBQ dishes, roasted and candied red poultry (e.g. duck) with a creamy sauce and lightly grilled and fried red meat (bavette, entrecote) with a creamy sauce and spicy notes. Also with lamb back, fillet, saddle and leg, fried or grilled Iberian pork with a creamy sauce and mature flavours and accessible hard old cheeses with compote.
Chardonnay Quay Landing. Full-bodied, soft wine with a slightly riper character. Originating from Australian soil, made from 100% Chardonnay ; a grape that can call itself the most popular grape in Australia.
Story behind the label:New label just developed! Of course Australia on the label, in gold, with the 'official' country stamps; it gives you a sunny feeling which is also reflected in the glass in style and taste.
White wine - Full, creamy and complex (fresh style). Dry white wine with a captivating aroma palette of citrus, almond and exotic fruit. The soft creamy taste is supported by a fresh acidity, which is also emphasized in the aftertaste and gives the wine a balanced dry aftertaste.
Our sommeliers recommend: Delicious with raw and steamed fatty fish with citrus, grilled and fried shellfish with fresh herbs, fried sweetbreads in oil and grilled veal and white meat with fresh accents. Also good with fresh salads with warm fish preparation, light cream soups with boiled vegetables and white mold cheeses.
