Bodegas Valoria is one of the oldest wineries in Rioja. The Pérez Foncea family founded it in 1860 in one of the most prestigious villages in La Rioja Alta, namely Fuenmayor. The origin of the name also comes from an old plot in this village. Valoria is one of ten wineries in Rioja that can sell the so-called 'old vintages' from before 1980. These vintages are recognized every year by international experts such as Robert Parker.
Their motto: “Great Rioja Wines since 1860”.
To improve the quality of the wines, the best technologies are important. That is why they have invested in an underground maturation cellar with space for more than 1,000 oak barrels, both French and American. And they have space for one and a half million liters of wine in stainless steel tanks of various sizes. They value an attractive presentation, quality wines from the best grapes and an interesting price-quality ratio.
