The daily management is in the hands of Jean-Philippe Drouet. A brief history of the Drouet brothers; The company Drouet Frères (1880) is one of the oldest trading houses in the Nantes district . Sales initially focused on trading in bulk wines. When the region was promoted to appellation d'origine contrôlée in 1938, the company strategy changed and sales focused exclusively on the production and sale of Muscadet. In 1950, the company came into the hands of the two grandsons, Jacques and Jean . From that moment on, it was called Drouet Frères. The third generation, Jean Philippe Drouet, took over the management in 1981. He decided to hand over the commercial side of the company to devote himself entirely to his passion: winemaking and vineyard management. He strives to make wine with a clear expression of terroir. By means of environmentally friendly winemaking without the use of chemical pesticides. The house is affiliated with the Terra Vitis organisation. In 2007, Drouet Frères took over the distribution company Antoine Subileau , based in Vallet.

LOVELY LOIRE

The Loire , named after the river of the same name , is perhaps the most beautiful wine region in France. The area stretches from the Atlantic Ocean near Nantes, eastwards to Orleans. The Loire is the longest river in France (1012 km) and rises in the Ardèche in the Massif Central at an altitude of 1400 m, at the foot of Mont Gerbier de Jong. It starts as a wild mountain stream , then the Loire takes a wide bend to the left near Orléans and continues as a river towards the Atlantic Ocean . The river basin covers 1/5 of the whole of France. The various regions differ from each other in soil composition and climate. The west has more maritime influences. Further inland, the influence of the sea decreases and the climate is moderately continental. Together with the differences in soil types, this ensures a great variety of grape varieties. The area therefore has a large number of wine types. From west to east, the Loire is divided into the following regions: Nantais , d'Anjou and Saumur, Touraine and the Vins du Centre.

RAMIER: VERSATILE APPLICATION AT ITS BEST

The Ramier Drouet wines are an excellent example of quality for an affordable price in the broadest sense of the word. The 'house wines' line, divided into white, rosé and red, has an attractive character, it outlines the way in which they can be accessible and versatile at the same time. The basic line of white, red and rosé are beautiful blends of local grape varieties, the line that follows are wines made from 100% the same grape. Also called mono-cepages .
