The history of this beautifully situated estate goes back to 1202 and grew into the current estate of 150 hectares of vineyards with various grape varieties. In 1905, the great-grandfather of the current owners bought the wine estate and transformed it into a modern wine company. The current owners of this domain, Jérome with his wife and Bruno Vic, belong to the 5th generation of winemakers of the Vic family who manage the estate. The Vic wine estate is located in the heart of the Languedoc and has been affiliated with the so-called quality program ' Qualenvi '; Qualité Environnement Vigneron Indépendant; this program stands for food safety and protection of the environment since 2003. It is important to protect the fertile vineyard soil, so that the activities can continue at a high level in the future. The aim of the winery is to make accessible, high-quality wines.
The Languedoc & Roussillon area consists of two different wine regions that are conveniently, but not entirely rightly, mentioned in the same breath. The Languedoc has a Mediterranean character and differs somewhat from most other French wine regions, because the wine growers here generally have more freedom to work with certain grape varieties. As a result, surprising wines can come from this wine region that are usually very friendly priced. Roussillon, on the other hand, has a warmer climate and different production rules that we will not consider for now. Domaine Le Puits Cendré is located in the heart of Languedoc . The volcanic, Mediterranean climate of Domaine Robert Vic has mild winters and little rain, which ensures that the grapes reach full ripeness. The vines of the domain are planted on its own vineyards with volcanic soil that is characteristic of the region.
