France is (and remains) the most famous wine country in the world . It is a country with a unique versatility; a country that has produced many (quality) wines that served as examples (and still do!) for the rest of the world. especially areas such as Bordeaux , Burgundy , Loire, Rhône, Laguedoc & Roussillon and of course not to forget the elegant Champagne region . For a long time, French wines had a monopoly position on the best wines. However, this has changed over time; the reason for this is not so much the French themselves, but the enormous rise and enormous progress of World Wine Growing. Much of the knowledge in the field of wine has been developed at French universities. France has an enormous variety of grape varieties and wine types.
